MONDAY MOTIVATION: Fresh as the Morning Dew

Most of us who live in urban cities where the concrete jungle, machines and daily hustles rule and define our typical day. Taking a little time to consider the beauty of nature, and especially the small things we overlook would give you a different perspective about your life, role and impact. Have you ever just walked barefooted on wet sand, mud, green grass or just ran your hands and bare feet through vegetation in your garden early in the morning? Have you ever considered the morning dew? It is one of the most amazing and refreshing things you will ever witness and experience on grass, shrubs and trees.

When you think about it, dew is pretty amazing. Under forces of nature only God understands and put in place, it came to be. It just seems to appear from nowhere, almost magical. There is nothing more beautiful than the sparkling dew on the fields when early sunrise light catches the droplets, like thousand diamonds. Priceless! The refreshing mini-drops seem magical as they cling to the leaves, flowers and grass early morning even when no rains fall. Dew certainly is a state of freshness and liveliness.

Our lives should reflect such freshness, especially in the morning as we wake to face the day. The hand of God inevitably comes in play; and acknowledging that fact is equally important. God designed a precious system from the ancient of time on daily refreshment, renewal and sustenance in the ecosystem. Dew is the beautiful, life-giving source of water that appears new every morning. Understanding the principle behind the dew and how we can practically apply it in our lives would leave lasting impact on ourselves and others. Job, in Job 29: 19-29 said ‘For I am like a tree whose roots reach the water, whose branches are refreshed with the dew. New honors are constantly bestowed on me, and my strength is continually renewed.’ Psalms 110:3 says: ‘Your vigor will be renewed each day like the morning dew. Hosea 14:5 says : ‘I will be to Israel like refreshing dew from heaven. It will blossom like the lily; it will send roots deep into the soil like the cedars in Lebanon.’

Dew is a sign of health and wellness in life. You may be walking but dead inside. Make deliberate efforts for a renewed body and mind, and ooze out life, with your works and very livelihood manifesting liveliness. Have a moment with God every morning, draw from the source and be soaked in the dew so that your hope, strength and spirit is renewed to battle situations and be a blessing every day. The day and week has enough troubles already, let your dew provide answers and hope to those around you. Discover the secret to get this dew of life, and abundance in daily living.
